How a vegan keeps satisfied between meals without collapsing into a protein-deficient┬ácoma (or some other made up bullshit)…

What a vegan eats at a gas station!! Pretty self-explanatory. I believe all Nature Valley Crunchy Granola bars are vegan, save for Oats n Honey because of well.. honey. And annoying/unneccessary use of the letter "n" to replace "and" or even "&.".

In-class snack.. Apple with "Better'n Peanut Butter" & a couple Late July organic peanut butter cracker sandwiches. Yes, peanut butter is vegan but sometimes I use Better'n PB because it has 1/2 the calories and 75% less fat than the real stuff, because it's made from defatted peanut flour.

Mix of Pirate's Booty Tings/"veggie booty" & a pear with Peanut Butter & Co. cinnamon raison peanut butter. "Tings" are like the vegan equivalent to Cheetos, only dusted with nutritional yeast rather than some mystery finger-staining cheese powder.

Triscuits topped w/Tofutti Better than Cream Cheese & peppadew sweet red peppers, baby carrots.

Homemade coffee cake! Strawberry (bottom) / berry citrus (top)

Thanks soo much for all the tips. As an aspiring vegan trying to drag a southern husband along with me (not to mention a 16 yr. old offensive linemen, a 14yr. chocoaholic, a 7 yr old chicken nugget addict and a 85 yr. old irish mother) I feel inspired and hopeful that we all can do this for the rest of our lives. Yeah!!

thanks annmarie! also be sure to check out my post on Vending Machine vegan snacks for convenient on-the-go options (http://www.daniellebaldino.com/?p=1294). my advice: direct your son to star atheletes who subsist on a vegan diet (UFC fighter Mac Danzig, bball player John Salley), your 14 year old to rice dream or GoMaxGo bars (can’t find them in your area? try foodfightgrocery.com) & chicken nuggets are easy – Boca makes THE BEST and they fool even the meatiest of meat eaters. as for your husband, he might take some convincing but the best thing you can do is just keep on cooking up delicious vegan foods & let him come around to it.

you guys can do this! keep me posted :)
